Introduce of IEEC

The International Education and Exchange Center (IEEC) at Qinghai Normal University (QHNU) was set up on the 20th of June, 2002. Its chief responsibilities are: to maintain and establish QHNU’s relations and co-operations with foreign universities, educational institutions and other corresponding units and to arrange and manage the foreign affair activities of QHUN; to go through the procedures of QHNU staff’s going abroad dispatched by the government; to admit international students for education with and without record of formal schooling and to conduct routine management of international students, HSK and Qualification Test for Teachers of Chinese as a Foreign Language; to recruit and manage foreign teachers, to conduct international students education and manage other related matters; to be responsible for the reception and management of IEEC residence apartments. IEEC now has five working staff. The recruitment of foreign teachers started in 1984 and the enrollment of international students in 1993. QHNU is a university entitled by Ministry of Education to admit international students and currently admits language students coming to China to study Chinese. IEEC adheres to the philosophy of regarding people foremost and offers Chinese (Tibetan) training courses and short-term courses of Chinese culture for those who want to learn Chinese (Tibetan) and get to know Chinese society, economy and culture.
